Roihu on reipas ja hieman hönö nuorimies, joka tykkää rajuista painileikeistä ja etsii kotia, jossa hänellä on poikakissa kaverina.

Roihu ja sen kaveri Polte saapuivat kotihoitoon lokakuun viimeisenä päivänä yli 100 kissan populaatiosta, juuri sopivasti turvaan alkavalta talvelta. Ensimmäisinä päivinä häädettiin sisäloisia, korvapunkkeja sekä nautittiin antibioottikuuri hengitystieinfektioon ja laitettiin tippoja tulehtuneisiin silmiin. Roihu antoi yllättävän nätisti lääkitä itseään vaikkei ollutkaan aiemmin ihmiseen tottunut. Korvien putsaus onnistuu pakoreissujen kera. Tänä päivänä Roihu on noin puolivuotias, komea, utelias ja reipas kissanalku. Roihu arvostaa säännöllistä ruokatarjoilua ja komentaakin kotihoitajaa vaativalla äänellään, jos palvelu on liian hidasta. Herkkuja Roihu hakee kädestä ja huiskalelu kun heiluu, niin leikkimään tullaan vieraidenkin ihmisten kanssa. Silitysten päälle se ei vielä ymmärrä ja väistääkin ihmisen lähestyvää kättä vikkelästi, vaikka muutoin uskaltaakin makoilla kotihoitajan läheisyydessä rennosti. Sijaiskodin muita kissoja Roihu palvoo, ja se tarvitseekin kodin, jossa on seurana kiltti, reipas kissakaveri. Tulevalta ihmiseltään se toivoo taitoa totuttaa se käsittelyyn mm. nostamiseen sekä ymmärrystä siihen, että alkuun voi uusi ympäristö kovastikin ujostuttaa. Tämän populaation kissoilla on todettu keuhkomato, johon Roihukin on saanut loishäädön, mutta se on saattanut jättää keuhkoihin vaurioita.

Roihu and his friend Polte arrived at home care on the last day of October from a population of more than 100 cats, just in time for safety from the beginning of winter. In the first days, we evicted internal parasites, ear mites and took a course of antibiotics for a respiratory infection and put drops in the inflamed eyes. Roihu surprisingly allowed himself to be medicated, even though he had not been used to humans before. Ear cleaning can be done with escape trips. Today, Roihu is about six months old, a handsome, curious and lively cat. Roihu appreciates regular food service and commands the housekeeper with him demanding voice if the service is too slow. Roihu grabs the treats from the hand and when the squishy toy swings, he comes to play with strangers too. Roihu still doesn’t understand pettings and shyly dodges a human’s approaching hand, although otherwise it dares to lie down in the vicinity of the housekeeper in a relaxed manner. Roihu adores the other cats in the foster home, and he needs a home with a kind, lively cat friend for company. From its future human, it hopes for the skill to accustom it to handling e.g. lifting and understanding that the new environment can be very nervous at first. The cats of this population have been found to have lungworm, which Roihu also got parasite eviction with, but it may have left damage in the lungs.
