Peter on luonteeltaan hieman introvertti ja nukkuu päiväunia omissa oloissa. Kiipeilypuu ja korkeat paikat ovat herran ykkösjuttuja. Peter asuu tällä hetkellä sijaiskodissa kahden tyttökissan kanssa, joita kohtaan hän on kiltti ja ystävällinen. Peter kuitenkin ilmaisee iloisuuttaan puskemalla voimakkaasti, mikä ei ole tyttökissojen mieleen kokoeron vuoksi, ja tämän seurauksena toinen tytöistä on välillä läpsäissyt Peteriä. Kun herra pääsee kunnolla puskemaan ihmisen kättä, hän heittäytyy selälleen ja alkaa kieriä innokkaasti. Myös iltapalan aikaan Peter on kunnon rakkauspakkaus ja kiipeää mielellään syliin kehräämään.
Peterille maistuu kaikenlaiset ruoat ja hän on kastraation jälkeen ollut sisäsiisti. Kotiuduttuaan loppuelämän kotiinsa Peterin kanssa voisi kokeilla valjasulkoilua, sillä herraa kiinnostaa kovasti pihan tapahtumat.
Peter voisi viihtyä toisen kissan kaverina tai ainoana kissana, kunhan ihmisellä olisi aikaa leikkiä hänen kanssaan. Menneisyydessä, ennen kastraatiota, Peter on ottanut yhteen toisten kollikissojen kanssa, joten ei ole tiedossa, miten hän suhtautuisi heihin nyt.
Peter tulee kissapopulaatiosta, jossa kissoilla on todettu kissojen kaliki,- mykoplasma,- klamydia ja bordetella bronchiseptica -tartuntoja. Peter on sijaiskodissa saanut Flumax-ravintolisää tukemaan hengitysteiden terveyttä ja ennaltaehkäisevästi. Peter arvostaa rauhallista elämää, joten hän viihtyisi aikuiskodissa tai lapsiperheessä, jossa lapset ovat jo isompia.

Peter is a bit of an introvert by nature and takes naps on his own. The climbing tree and high places are his number one thing. Peter currently lives in a foster home with two female cats towards whom he is kind. However, Peter expresses his cheerfulness by pushing hard, which is not to the liking of the ladies due to the size difference, and as a result, one of the girls has occasionally slapped Peter. When he is able to properly push a person’s hand, he throws himself on his back and begins to twist eagerly. Also at the time of supper, Peter is so exited that he likes to climb into persons arms to purr.
Peter likes all kinds of food and since castration there has been no peeing outside the litter box. In his new home, Peter could try harnessing, as he is very interested in what is happening in the yard. Peter could find home as a friend to another nice calm cat or as the only cat, as long as his humans have time to play with him. In the past, before castration, Peter has clashed with other male cats, so it is not known how he would relate to them now.
Peter comes from a cat population where cats have been diagnosed with cat calici, mycoplasma, chlamydia and bordetella bronchiseptica infections. He has received Flumax dietary supplements in his foster home to support respiratory health and preventively. Flumax should also be continued in the new home in the beginning and likewise in all stressful situations in the future. Good dental care is also important throughout life.
Peter appreciates calm life so he would enjoy an adult home or a family with children where children are already older.
